If you can get core drilling (NQ or HQ) for $100 in US cordillera,in 2008, for holes greater than 1000 feet, you are very lucky. Most contractors have a hole conditioning clause, as well as per foot price. When they are pumping drill fluids or trying to re-establish circulation the costs are $300 to $400 per hour. Owner supplies fuel, water, room and board etc. etc.

Re driving a drift. Most recent quote I saw for 7500 feet of 12 x 16 was $1550 per foot, direct costs. By the time you add on the indirect costs you are close to $1900 or $2000 per foot. smaller drifts would cost less but then you ask how big is the equipment you want to bring down?
