Speaking of launch costs, what kind of savings would LOR have if it started, or bought interest in, a satellite launch company? The launch biz is supposed to hit $30 bln by about 2002. Just a thought, would it be cheaper, in the long run, to have the ability to launch our birds internally? Of course not all launches will be internal, but this idea interests me. Any thoughts?
