So if a few voices somewhere on the right mention something, is it a position of "the right"?

Why don't you give us a link or two to determine if this notion has any support beyond whoever dreamed it up. Has a bill been introduced? Does it have cosponsors? Any actual votes on the issue?

If you are going to do battle with a policy, let's determine whose policy it is in the first place. Otherwise we get that familiar problem of false attributions to a large group.
