LIAR. Kerry had a net worth of 500 K after his first divorce. He was broke. But even without Theresa Heinz he rose to become a top senator and Gore's second choice for VP in 2000. Kerry also has a pre-nup meaning he gets none of Heinz's money. He did mortgage his entire net worth to go after the Iowa caucuses in 2006. But I'm sure his daughters were 100% behind that decision. Cindy McCain is a liquor heiress worth 100 million and she made his entire political career possible. Without it, he'd have had little chance.
