McCain will never pick a black to run with. for one thing, there are no qualified applicants except Colin Powell and he has some major problems after lying to the UN about the WMD, which is what everyone remembers him for. Second, the GOP are closet racists and sexists and would never tolerate a non-white or female president.

However, you will see McCain pretend to consider a non-white person or two for VP. In the end though he may have no choice but to pick Romney, as Charlie Crist is said to be a closeted gay.
He'd probably love to pick Lieberman but that ticket would be DOA.
