Good job all around.

Corel has a little time advantage, probably.

Would be good to know if they're basing closely on the reference design, or making added value changes, or using some other design.

Right now I tend to agree with your view that they are following the DEC script with a few ad-libs. Yet there is no mention of Corel on the DEC pages. so the question remains open.

Just a thought (see you're making me use my brain!): there are probably some other platform designs over there in Europe. DEC bought or licensed the original ARM risc design from a British company (durn it my memory is asleep this morning.) With Cowpland's background you can bet they looked there too. Hell, he's probably a buddy of the CEO. (Was it Acorn?) Worth our while to poke around in that corner before we conclude it's the DEC design.

Corel can hardly avoid having a big software lead for the box.

Glad you're not dead. Hmm... I can see the tabloids now. "Murder on the Internet" "chainsaw Leo", "vinni the knife", "Mr. MeanBean" oooo they would love it. PLEASE don't die.

Leo
