Carter is just an a$$! We need a Truman or better...Watched PBS last night and saw this: pbs.org One really had to have sympathy for Truman....He certainly wasn't dealt a lucky hand, but managed to do the right thing.... I hadn't realized that super elitist Roosevelt had never even briefed Truman on anything...let alone anything to do with WWII.... I knew his wife was a sourpuss, but WOW! Was she ever.... He wrote many letters to her, and obviously adored her. How and why is anyone's guess....she certainly was not a loveable character in public. There are some funny moments (at least now they are funny) on what he told the Russians.... And agonize he did over the Atomic Bomb and if it should be used on Japan.....but after he made the decision, he let it be...
