Why PBR is a new breed of oil company. Developing too late is good. We can use all the mistakes of the others to our own benefit.

Please remember PBR is not state owned neither never ever had easy oil.

One need to know the economic history of Brazil. From there one can derive how the country has progressed over the past 500 years For the past 500 years we have had several cycles of boom and busts: cycle of the wood, leather, sugar, gold, natural rubber, coffee.

Only the coffee cycle generated a industry. 30's recession dropped prices of coffee. WWII forced industrialization at a time European immigrants were coming in.

The rise of the US as power nation in the past 60 years threw a spanner in the works. USD as world's reserve currency kept a grip on the source of capital by limiting the amount of the USD in the market to keep its value high. Brazil reacted as it could, to no avail. Capital kept being hogged and any time they would increase the interest rates to screw Brazil. Like Volcker did.

Cut to our heroes: Bush and Greenspan: they start printing USD com gusto. Dropped interest rates to negative rates. Capital started flying into Brazil.

By coincidence out economy was straightened up. banks sanitized. Industry de-regulated. Oil no longer a monopoly. With capital at hand then we could work.

The results of capital flying start to appear.

Brazil went to the edge of the abyss. looked to those sharp stones 100ft down there. They stepped back a new people. When this capital comes in we are 200% sure we are not going to screw up.

We have not only our lessons, but all the lessons of the ones who screwed up before us. And last but not the least: You can compare a Brazilian with ordinary people. We are a breed apart
