Nah, your fears are groundless. A company buying back stock has no effect on the important numbers, especially EPS -- it's not an expense, but an investment. It's always a positive (assuming the company has good reason for it) -- it's like receiving a dividend and is anti-dilutive of earnings. In other words, it increases your percentage share of the company. Plus it puts short-term buying pressure on the stock, plus it shows a company's confidence in its future. I didn't realize IDT was rebuying shares, to be honest, and I'm impressed. It is, in effect, insider buying.
