VV is a program not an intelligence. When stocks move up or below the 13-week moving average (65 day), VV gives timing buy or sell signals. Most disk drive related stocks have or are correcting, excepting QNTM because of its unique position in the disk drive industry. QNTM leads in the laptop market, and is less exposed to the desktop price wars than WDC and SEG. Safety is rated low for disk drive stocks as they tend to be cyclical. Their price history reflects this. Many of the stocks in the industry are selling at low historical values relative to earnings. I don't buy all stocks based on price momentum. I try to incorporate valuation. I may buy a leader such as QNTM and also a laggard value stock such as SEG or WDC.
