So, what are you doing about it? Tankless hot water heater, new high efficiency heat pump and air exchanger (both within the last year), all CF bulbs, thermostat set higher. Our electric bill (they are high in FL) was below $100 last month; a record for us but we have improved every month. And seriously looking at an electric scooter for my commute. Also have solar heat for the pool (not that big a deal as I probably wouldn't heat it if I didn't have the solar). I would replace the roof top solar with electric generating solar if the incentives were there or if the cost got closer to grid parity. Also looking to get a new more efficient car next year.... want to see where the technology goes. There are rumors that VW is coming out with a hybrid clean diesel and would like to see that. That, and I've been doing everything I can politically, especially at the state level to convince the politicians to improve efficiency incentives. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
