I have been listening this morning and one analyst said the credit crunch is actually just starting. I guess the next to be hit will be the big and local banks that hold a lot of mortgages. The only thing that seems to have any analyst confused as to where the markets are going is the fact that its election year so historically the second half of the year should be good but fundamentals are all saying different.

I have heard a few different places that the pound is going to parity with the euro which would make it easy for them to change over. One analyst actually said any one with pounds should convert to euros now rather then waiting until the pound comes down that far.
