Okay, do liberals support democracy in Iraq? Liberals support democracy in Iraq. Do you think we should continue to aid the fledgling democracy there? It depends on what you mean by support. Right now, we have Iraq's democracy on life support. I question whether it would last more than a month if we left. What confounds me is the attitude of the right. I wouldn't expect a tree to grow in a desert but you expect democracy to flourish in what constitutes a political desert.......a country that has never experienced democracy in its history and never asked for it.
