Now we are dancing from terrorist havens to where the oil is. The rationale and aims and threat matrices keep shifting like a kaleidoscope. No wonder a majority of Americans are fed up with the whole thing and want to see a rational end to it, and a carefully planned policy that puts our aims, threats and resources in some kind of coherent framework.
