Minara nickel
Updated: 23:53, Wednesday May 28, 2008

Minara Resources has put back the date of its Murrin Murrin nickel project expansion, worth $300m, saying it's now going to take until the 2010 March quarter to reach full production.

Australia's second largest nickel producer said the project would have increased annual output by more than 20 per cent once construction ended late next year.

But labour shortages have triggered delays.

Chief executive Peter Johnson now said the project was set to take two years, with staff turnover rates jumping ten per cent over the last 12 months to nearly 30 per cent.
