Looks like Michael Medved agrees: Scott McClellan and the Awful Truth

Yes, the Scott McClellan book proves that Bush made a terrible mistake during his presidency—and the worst of them was hiring this loser in the first place. Scott McC. was utterly unqualified for his high position – having achieved nothing in his life prior to working for Bush other than serving in three of his nutty mother’s campaigns (she was a thrice-married former Mayor of Austin, former Democrat, former Republican, current “Independent” nut-burger and recent fringe candidate for governor). Scott’s proud papa is a conspiracy theorist and disbarred lawyer who wrote a book charging LBJ and “Big Oil” with the JFK assassination.

Obviously, McClellan got his White House job simply because he displayed loyalty to Bush (after Karen Hughes hired him during the gubernatorial campaign) and even that single qualification is now shown as worthless – like Scotty himself.
