Las Vegas gambling debts chase Obama supporter Posted: May 29, 2008 06:51 PM EDT Updated: May 29, 2008 06:51 PM EDT Antoin "Tony" Rezko, a former supporter and political fundraiser for Barack Obama, is accused of failing to repay more than $800,000 in gambling debts to three Las Vegas casinos. Police say a felony warrant was issued for Rezko on May 20 alleging that he neglected to repay 10 casino loans to Caesar's Palace and Bally's in Las Vegas, totaling $472,275. Rezko is also cited in a civil law suit which alleges that he owes $331,000 in casino loans to the Bellagio. Rezko is currently on trial in Chicago where a federal jury is deliberating his fate in a corruption case linked to the administration of Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich. Obama has reportedly distanced himself from Rezko.
