To me it is not a legal issue to be enforced. The question is why would you not feel sufficient respect to the nation's customs especially regarding the flag to follow them, especially when seeking to be the President? When you listen to him, his wife, his church, his many questionable associates one can really be concerned about how he feels about his country.
