I don't think the rest of the world will allow us to go into a depression, for now anyway. But my outlook is that China will now be concentrating on building China & not needing to export as much to us or the rest of the world. They don't need as many dollars or euros to fuel their own growth. Their economy is becoming self sufficient. this is partially based on having a co-worker who travels there regularly & reports back to me. It's not just China either, India is growing rapidly fueled by greenbacks & euros too. Overall it's not just the West running the show anymore. How to play it is another question.
