Mindmeld, the trouble is that without the short-term plan for expanding domestic usage of coal, nuclear, and oil, and with the quixotic fight against global warming, we're going to fall behind in development of solar and hybrid technologies.

Environmentalists think that by restricting fossil fuels, we'll speed the development of alternative energy, but that's a simple-minded point-of-view that doesn't take into account the realities of the American economy.

That's the main problem I have with Obama's energy plan. No one in the Democratic Party has the balls to tell the environmentalists to go take a hike ... literally. Instead, they promise everyone everything, paid for by Big Oil. What a recipe for disaster.
