Sorry about my possible Freudian slip--reigns for reins. Until I saw your 'reins' in print, I had a vague feeling to go to a dictionary. I don't consciously feel easy in the current reign of Bush but feeling easy about protesting and telling the truth, in the proper venue, like here, without fear of reprisal. I think early in the reign of Bush, I and colleagues were nervous about protesting openly. I'm not sure this makes sense now that his popularity is down in the 20's, but right after the invasion of Afgan..., he felt to me like a dangerous dictator who would tolerate no disagreement. McClellan has confirmed this.
