This may damage Obama more than Wright among the more moderate who were able to find legitimate rationale for his church affiliation until now. I can't find any direct quote from Obama himself, only from Wolfson. If that's so, then he's missing his chance to make a vehement, passionate denunciation of this kind of rhetoric. I admire control and dignity, but there is a time for outrage.
