It sounds as though you believe the rest of the world will see the brilliance of Obama's rhetoric and fall right in line.

Me, I'm skeptical. I'm skeptical of anyone who inhales and then brags about it because "that's the point." What a sorry message to be sending our youngsters.

I'm skeptical of anyone who mingles with racists and bombers and claims to know nothing about their views, until he feels compelled to denounce their hateful utterances after they've hurt him. Why not before?

Obama is not what he seems to be, in my opinion. If he were who he seems to be, I would still oppose some -- not all -- of his policies.

Obama is a junior senator without a finished term, with state legislature experience that deceives him into thinking the world works the way opposing factions in our states do.

Sure, I'd like a nuclear free world too. I'd like one without terrorists and enemies that will exploit every advantage the minute they see weakness. I'd like one without eight lane traffic jams and latte stands where you have to wait in line for a three dollar cup of coffee you could make yourself for twenty cents. I'd like one where people get along and don't try to take advantage of each other.

I do agree that it is a good idea to avoid wasting money on crackpot ideas like global warming, putting food in our gas tanks, and so forth. I HATE paying $5 a gallon for diesel when everyone knows it is cheaper to manufacture than gasoline.
