you MUST observe changes in the climate and atmospheric phoenomena of other planets.

Err... current data on other planets, not to mention historical data for them is rather lacking. Plus, they all have rather different atmospheres. It will be awhile before such data is of great use. However, I'm all for learning as much as possible, but it will be quite speculative for the near term.

IIRC, there was a realclimate article looking a Venus's atmosphere in the last few months or more. Not very earthlike either, and quite odd rotational dynamics to say the least.
