I think from a pragmatic point of view that Clinton would be the best VP at this point.

ALL the negatives that Clinton brings to the table are being SURPASSED by the stuff they're saying about Obama. We're seeing Obama have some major problems with DEMOCRATS, let alone independents and moderate Republicans.

I've seen the 3 women they've suggested for VP other than Hillary and I'm not sure they could make up the lost ground.

HALF the convention is going to be Hillary people and I'm NOT so sure they will cheer real loud if Clinton isn't on the ballot to persuade them.

Clinton has already campaigned in the industrial states and has built up organizations there. If she goes back to those states and says her supporters should support Obama then I think many of them would.

Considering how lousy Bush is doing in the polls and how low consumer confidence is and everything else, it seems just amazing that McCain is running about even with Obama right now. Obama SHOULD be up 20 points at least.
