OK word smiths - what wording would make you focus on the issue instead of meaningless distractions? Why is addressing the issue so difficult? Seems to me you're talking downsizing, not disarmament. The word, "disarm," is getting in the way. So it seems to me that the discussion should be about "right-sizing" to meet our needs, what would be right-sizing in this context.
