He was talking about politics. He was mocking Hillary. He was disgusting. He was "alien". Impassioned? I really don't think so. Hillary isn't exactly anti-black. He was playing to the crowd at the expense of Obama.

That single performance will do more damage than Obama can repair with his next 50 speeches around the country. The folks who want to believe Obama is a threatening alien presence won't look beyond the mockery and disgusting antics, the kind none of us would want to see from anyone at our dinner table.

The idea that Obama has to take in and babysit these screamers with their anger management and behavioral issues strikes me as absurd, not to mention political suicide.

When unruly students act out in class, do you stop everything and say OK Timmy, let's talk about your needs and make everyone focus on them? Or do we teach them about higher goods that society achieves through polite behavior, i.e. the class can focus on the curriculum instead of Timmy's need to act out?

I vote for under the bus. Obama can go back and soothe their hurt six-year-old feelings later. It's not like that crowd is going to vote for McCain anyway.
