Allen: SYQT is partnered with Headway, IBM and several other companies
in the development of the Rocket. I don't remember seeing any info
stating that SYQT will partner or contract with Terastor in development
of the Rocket, but I could be wrong. IMO the major determinant of
whether Rocket will be a success or not is the release time and price
point. The delay in release of the Syjet from Sept of '96 to Feb of 97
really hurt SYQT sales and their ability to compete with Jaz. Had it
been released earlier, I think that the Syjet would virtually own this
market segment (it is a far superior drive, and is available in both
SCSI and IDE formats - unlike the Jaz).
