I agree with everything you say, yet I totally disagree with you. Over 90 percent of blacks will vote for Barack. If nothing else, Barack has to be mindful of this fact.

But, I think he is going to handle this very opportunistically. Those are his captive voters, they have no place else to go. He is pretty much free to pander to the white intellectual elite. But that is not much of a stretch for him. He comes from that community. He is one of them.

If you pay attention to symbols, take a look at the stage whenever Obama speaks. You rarely see a black person sitting behind him surrounded by the American flag. Whereas, whenever Hillary speaks, you will always see an appropriate number of blacks (AA) behind her.

Barack Obama and David Axelrod have really played this race card exqisitely. Obama and Axelrod, imo, believe that they are above race, but that doesn't mean they aren't aware of it and using it to maximize their advantage. And their advantage is race.
