Not true, democrats are much more fiscally conservative than the Bush rightwing. The main difference is that democrats want the spending paid for, not put on the national credit card. That naturally restricts spending. Bushies however seem to think the world is going to end soon why why not spend as much as possible now. Plus, tax cuts for the rich and corporations are largely a form of spending because they are deficit machines.

One of the biggest grossest lies of the rightwing propaganda machine is that "lower taxes boost revenues". Any fool with an IQ of 2 can see through that. If that were true, both Reagan and GW Bush would have produced surpluses like Clinton and Kennedy did. Instead, they produced the biggest deficits in modern times, all of which has to be paid off after they leave office.

So if you care about fiscal conservatism, forget McCain. He wants to spend more and can't name a single major cut in spending he'd make. It's true that he's railed against pork barrel spending (of the Delay congress) in the past, but his current policies would increase spending, particularly on military occupations and being the world's policeman.
