My husband proposed on our 3rd date- I married him two months later :-) We've been happily married for 27 years come September. Some of the people I know who have been married the longest got married quickly after whirlwind courtships. If I remember right I read an article recently that said people who make emotional decisions about investing do better than people who don't- maybe that's true about love, too. Heck, maybe it's even true about politics. I've no idea. I'm just glad I said yes quickly 27 years ago when I was but a girl of 19.
