If I was running one of the companies that was a potential defendant
of a future suit, I would be adopting a wait and see attitude until
I saw the details of the infringement claims. Even then, unless
something is absolutely ironclad in nature, I would wait until the
legal process has progressed further (in E-Data's favour) or many of the
companies involved settle, before I folded and took out a licencing
agreement with E-Data. Given the protracted nature of legal proceedings,
I can't see an avalanche of licencing agreements happening in the
very near future. E-data's release did sound optimistic though. I
am too aboutthe future potential of the company and it's patent infringement
claims. It should be an interesting few months...
