Your absolutely right. We give them a bit of a boost when they are young, support when they are going thru the trials of adolescence and encourage their pull away from the dependency in the family. Of course for Parents, it is a bitter-sweet experience to see them grow up and we have to fight our tendencies to hold on to them.
