Jamie, the Dollar is an incredible dog, but there are cracks and crumbles in other currencies, notably Pound and Euro too... Germany is the proverbial Diesel Lok in the zone, pulling ahead smooth and reliably, but the fuel is scarce and the prices become taxing if not extortionist.

Keeping rates high and the money in the zone, is one thing.
But first pickpocketing the little guy then complain that the economy shrinks is a very different issue.

It certainly didnt help that:

Germany has now a very rudimentary social security system with minimal coverage. It is called "Hartz 4" and invented by the Germany 2000 Version of Jimmy Hoffa, Mr Hartz of Volkswagen, a union turncoat.
