What of the Christians being murdered, raped, or driven out of their homes in moslum controlled countries..should they fight back or just die at the hands of moslums?
Jesus told his people to flee persecution. But, you can only flee so much. And, practically speaking, it is not always possible. These Christians in Muslim countries are usually dirt-poor, have no means to get transportation, aid or weapons (even if they were authorized by the Lord to do so).Not only do they have no protection from the government; but also, the government is often behind the killing. How do you fight that? So, the killing and raping and plundering of them goes on freely.
Christian persecution is a worldwide scandal. No one comes to their aid. It doesn't even make the news. No one cares. About 100 million Christians suffered and died in the last century. It won't get better this century, I can guarantee that.
So, when a Christian family in Sudan, Pakistan, Afghanistan or three dozen other Muslim countries is at home and their house is broken into by a band of armed Muslim men with machetes and guns, their lives are pretty much over. Jesus predicted when He was here that his people would be hated and killed for His name's sake. It is probably the most common factor of Christian life. It's not for everyone; although everyone's invited.
This worldwide persecution also repudiates these modern high-profile "Christian" ministers who claim that the God of the Muslims is the same as the God of the Christians. Baloney. The difference can be seen in that true Christians are willing to die for their faith; whereas these Muslims want to kill for theirs. |
