My span covers always 30 years. Take today, look back 20 years and then plot 10 years ahead. By 2018 there will be first nuclear plants coming on stream. Then the world's energy matrix will have gone through a dramatic change. Picture that: --Mexico's privatized PEMEX. --Iran regime changed and 1 trillion dollars thrown into its economy. --Caucasus oil states will be exploding with wealth. --Saudi Loaves and fish multiplication miracle of oil reserves will be plain to see --Russia member of the EU after buying 1/5 of its assets --No oil in North Sea. --West Africa booming with oil money --US drilling in the garden of the White House if there is sign of oil -- PBR delivering distillates blended with ethanol --Sugar cane Ethanol exploding and moving into cellulosic raw materials --Canadian oil sands delivering million of barrels --sub-salt technology widely available tried and tested and improved (and PBR gorging on royalties selling it) --Greenism will have passed and an environmentalist would be akin to have a hippie today :-)
