My goodness, what a horrible thing to believe. No wonder you dread a Democratic government, if you think "Dems" would care more about winning an election than they do about the lives of our troops.

I, for one, would be happy as hell to see Iraq cooled down that quickly. I'd even be happy to see Osama bin Laden and Zawahiri behind bars before the election.

Obama can still kick McCain's ass, on a whole host of other issues. And why on earth do you suppose that he could not adapt to the circumstance of an Iraq war that was very nearly completed? Of course he would not just precipitously pull our troops out and create new chaos in the process.

Even if the war in Iraq is "won" by November, there will still be the point that Bush got us into it unnecessarily, using deception, and did so with McCain's full support. That alone would still be reason enough to vote for Obama.
