steve...I see the "result" as worse.

With a "closed" military society like N. Korea, you really can't get EVERYTHING you want. Just like we couldn't get everything we wanted from the Soviets during the Cold War.

You either have to try and control and minimize the danger or GO to WAR.

As usual Bush tried to "Bully and Threaten" to achieve his foreign goals and as usual it just made things worse.

After we went into Afghanistan the Iranians tried to open diplomatic channels with the U.S. and Bush just "blew them off" with threats and condemnation. Today, the Iranians are our Biggest Threat in the Middle East through their own power and their sponsorship of terrorism. That was a GREAT opportunity LOST.

N. Korea WAS cheating and EVERYBODY expected them to, but they weren't going into an All Out program to build and test nukes, which they NOW have after Bush's brilliance.

Bush has also done a real good job of helping Putin reconstitute the Soviet Empire.

By ANY objective standard Bush is going to go down as the WORST foreign policy President in the HISTORY of the U.S.
