Hers's a flashback when GS started to move big time into commodities - and the more daytraders the weaker the herd gets.
Remember the commodity run is/was not an overnight event - the herd of experts did move the herd into the commodity coral - no doubt.

In their last news release, they referred to "pure cyclical" but didn't explicitly state their belief that semi equips were "pure cyclical." I think they are wrong. Semi equips are a cyclcal growth industy. I also believe that the next 5 years will be characterized by more growth and less cyclicality.

At the "end of the day", when we are smiling and patting ourselves on the back, we should remember that it wasn't easy and that we went against the uniform herd of "experts" who predicted that we had already seen the cyclical peaks by Feb 2004.
