Salt Lake's light rail is great. Sometimes I just leave the car at home and bicycle to the train station. You can take your bike on the train, but you have to stand by the doors and hold it.

Right now, it just goes up and down the length of the valley, but they've just started to build it out east and west to the populated areas. They're talking about having bikes you can check out with a card at all the train stations, after you register as a user.
