RWS,.....RE: WNR...>>>Thanks. I'm nearing a double after recommending it.<<<<
I don't intend to belittle your accepting credit for this call, but could you give the message number for this reco? I couldn't find it back through 5/12 where WNR made its recent bottom....I wanted to observe your reasons for recommending it, since it was clearly a good call.
I was wanting to commend Dabum for his reco and reasons to stay with this sock on the 29th when others had indicated it was time to take profits after its sudden climb, and was surprised you had recommended it apparently close to the beginning of its upswing.
I stupidly let this one slip by without catching its obvious buy signal on the 29th based upon my modified version of Dabum's Momentum Band strategy. I'm reluctant to buy it now....too far, too fast....but will watch for a pull back opportunity to catch it on another break through of the upper band. BTW, if Dabum is reading this post, I was surprised that he is now setting the Bollinger Bands on 10,1.....had remembered (I think) that he called for a setting of 20,1 previously, which is what I'm still using with very satisfactory results. Of course my personal situation probably dictates a different set of goals than Dabum's or most others, in that I'm practising a much higher risk strategy than most others would at this age, resulting in establishing different indicators, and relying to some degree on my interpretation of the fundamentals and their effect on the stock/sector behaviour.
However, I still abide by the establishment of definite Buy and Sell signals displayed by the chart patterns, as Dabum recommends, which enables one to maximize the gains on the occasional long running up-trends, while at the same time being able to limit the expected losses that will occur with regrettable regularity.
Since this discipline is producing around a 38% annual rate of gain so far through 5/31, I'm understandably very grateful to Dabum for all that he has so generously made available to this and other boards.
