Samson Oil & Gas Limited, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas properties in the United States. The company holds 100% working interests in the Brown's Ranch project; the Firehole Canyon project, which consists of 12,000 acres in the Green River Basin area; the Greens Canyon Gas Field; the Stage Coach East project consisting of 1,200 acres; the Flaming Gorge project; and the State GC Gas Field, Wyoming, as well as owns a 37.5% working interest in the Amber Field SE comprising 6,000 acres located in Oklahoma, a 55% working interest in the Baxter Shale Oil project, and a 50% working interest in the Codell Sandstone Wet Gas project. It also holds a 50% working interest in the Hawk Springs project; a 21% working interest in the Jonah Field located in the northern part of the Green River Basin; an 18.2% working interest in the Look Out Wash Field in the Washakie Basin; a 50% working interest in Niobrara Formation Oil project; a 34.5% working interest in the North Stockyard project comprising 3,303 acres; a 25% working interest in the South Goose Lake prospect with 2,480 acres; and a 27% working interest in the State GC oil field. In addition, Samson Oil & Gas Limited has the right to earn a 50% interest in the Gold Coast Coal Bed Methane project in the Green River Basin, Wyoming. As of July 1, 2007, it had proved and probable reserves of 494,200 barrels of oil, and 36,936 million cubic feet of gas. The company was formerly known as Samson Exploration NL and changed its name to Samson Oil and Gas NL in 2005. Later, the name of the company was changed to Samson Oil & Gas Limited in 2006. Samson Oil & Gas Limited is based in Perth, Australia.
