Silver Quest Resources Ltd.: Phase 2 Drill Program Commences on Santa Rosa Property, Mexico

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 3, 2008) - Silver Quest Resources Ltd. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: SQI.V) is pleased to announce the commencement of a Phase 2 reverse-circulation ("RC") drill program on the Santa Rosa property. The Phase 2 drill program comprising approximately 1,800 metres of RC drilling is to define the geometry and establish continuity of the known multiple mineralized zones, and to drill-test newly discovered surface showings.
The Santa Rosa property is located approximately 175 kilometres east of Hermosillo, in the state of Sonora, Mexico and represents a new discovery of potentially bulk-tonnage silver-lead-copper mineralization consistent with a carbonate-replacement-deposit model. Sulphide mineralization, including galena, tetrahedrite and minor pyrite, together with barite, occurs in a carbonate breccia unit within interbedded sediments cut by volcanic (andesite) units.
Previously, the Company completed a 20-hole, 1,821.2-metre Phase 1 RC program (see the company's news release dated January 30, 2008) that returned multiple zones of encouraging silver and base-metal values over sizable intercepts. The Southeast Zone has only been tested by two drill holes and is open along strike and at depth.

Mr. Robert Weicker, PGeo, who is the qualified person, as defined by National Instrument 43-101, for the Santa Rosa project, verified the scientific and technical information in this release, and supervised its preparation.
