I'm not so sure. I saw all three speeches tonight, and McCain's paled by comparison with Clinton's and Obama's in terms of ability to fire up party energy. In terms of substance it might be another story, but McCain's speech was not great by any measure.

The Fox pundits, even Barnes and Kondrake, thought McCain had better polish up his rhetorical skills.
