Yeah but why does LU needs LAN switches? WAN switches OK, but not LAN switches unless LU wants to diversify to the campus backbone and desktop network business. I did mention that if the fiber side of MRVC gets stronger then LU may be interested. The last time I talked to someone at MRV, they are making up to 6 channel WDM fiber switches. CIENNA is currently making 24 channel WDM with plan of 64 for next year. Btw, there are a whole bunch of fiber companies that LU may be also interested also (CIEN, HLIT, QWEST, ...)
