Agree with your scenario if Volker does a redo of early 80's. Dollar rally, gold down. I don't see how that can happen as the conventional wisdom is the Fed will need to monitize assets as they go into bankrupcy. Doing the opposite would be considered VERY risky and Obama would be under incredible pressure... I don't know what his background is in economicds, but if he's not even sure about these things then it would be tough to do. DAK
