From Telechoice:Lucent Buys Livingston

October 15, 1997 -- They don't do xDSL, but Livingston's
presence in remote access is well known. Lucent's $700 million
dollar move (according to San Jose Mercury News) can be
construed as a serious commitment to access on Lucent's part.
Could an xDSL acquisition be far behind? TeleChoice thinks it
would make sense for Lucent to own rather than buy but time
will tell.
