If you like Tamarind, you should try Tamarind soup. The local oriental market carries a mix by Knorr-Suisse which is very good, especially with some added chili (chipotle, in my case). Chop up a few veggies, a little meat if you want, perhaps some fresh oriental noodles, and you have great lunch in 10 minutes.

And, just to pretend this is on topic, if I were pairing this with wine, I would probably use a good Riesling, possibly even a Spatlese with the amount of chipotle I use (~ 1 tablespoon for 2 cups of soup).

And that reminds me indirectly of the 2006 Swan Naked Lady Rose which I had last night. Very pleasant and fits the list at $18/bottle with volume discounts available. It even has a Naked Lady on the label! Of the Amaryllis belladonna variety, however.
