We get warnings all the time of possible attacks.......what makes you think the Russians are more accurate or more trustworthy than the rest?

We may. And you believe we do and should ignore them. I understand that.

Do you distinguish between sources, Brumar? If you hear gossip from the neighborhood gossip whom you can't trust, and you hear gossip from a trusted friend, which gossip do you tend to believe? I don't say ignore any warnings but I would put a lot more faith in a warning from a Germany or a Britain than I would in a Russia.

Also remember Russia wasn't the same threat they were during the Cold War.

Wake up, Brumar. They have nearly as many nukes as they had before, they have overcome their economic problems and Putin is slowly destroying their foundling democracy.

Some of those things are true.

I don't know how many nukes they have. I do know there is a megaton to megawatt program and about half the nuclear fuel in American power plants now comes from Soviet warheads. So they must have a few less.

I don't know that they've over come their economic problems. Oil and gas prices are up and that helps them a lot even with declining production. The democracy comment is accurate. Nevertheless, Russia is not an idealogical opponent to the non-communist world and we are not in the cold war anymore.

For the first time in history, Moscow has more billionaires than NYC.

Fine.....but I wouldn't trust them any farther than I could throw them.
