We had a line of thunderstorms go by this afternoon. There were a couple of small twisters in it but it wasn't a particularly horrible or dramatic storm. I saw it coming through West Virginia and went to the pool thinking I had a few hours for my workout but I only got an hour in before the lifeguards heard thunder and kicked me out. Very unusual to have such a fast storm. And it hit at rush hour. Somehow it managed to do a lot of damage to the power lines. We have lots of big, old trees here. They said at one point that there were more than a million homes without power. Couple hundred thousand last I watched the news.
